Barbie Voice Acting Casting Call
About this project
Casting voice actors for an animated fan dub. Lip-sync required — lines need to match existing animation timing, so comfort with re-takes and pacing to picture is a must.
Looking to fill two roles:
Blair (F, 16–20) — the challenger. Bright, high-pitched, confident. Clear and energetic with a slight edge. Delivery should lean expressive and animated — lively, charming, a little sharp when she needs to be.
Queen Delancy (F, 35–45) — the antagonist. Elegant, regal, composed. Medium-low register with real authority behind it. Emotionally controlled, dignified, queen-like presence.
The story: As Queen Delancy moves to seize the crown, Blair steps up to challenge her and prove she's the rightful princess.
To audition: Record the sample lines below and send to yw9159@nyu.edu (or apply here with an MP3).
Blair: "I am making a claim to the throne because I am Princess Sophia, daughter of Queen Isabella."
Queen: "This is ridiculous — the princess died 17 years ago. Finish the coronation and make Princess Delancey ruler of Gardenia for life!"
