Sonic Salon
About this project
Sonic Salon is a New York–based recurring gathering where strangers come together to make a song in one evening.
Throughout history, salons have emerged during times of cultural change. That’s happening right now. Sonic Salon is a revival of human connection — a room where strangers actually talk, create, and leave with a song made from scratch together, a cultural artifact born from one night. In an age where AI can generate everything for us, we’re building the opposite: real conversation, real depth, real connection, created by humans.
We’re on Vol. 8 and growing into something bigger this fall.
Who we’re looking for
• Musicians, thinkers, creators — anyone who wants to make something real with strangers, no résumé required
• Organizers — people who want to help build this beyond one night at a time
• Videographers / video editors — help us capture the movement as it happens, not just document it after
• DJ for July 30 — we need someone to hold the room that night
• Angels & believers — people who see what this could become and want to help fund it, whether that’s donating, sponsoring, or connecting us to people who would
This isn’t paid right now — it’s early, it’s real, and it’s being built by people who believe in it. If you’re one of them, help us build this into something bigger.
